Among the places that may be enjoyed with Nepal holiday tour packages, availed by travellers, is the Langtang National Park. It is located in the Langtang region in northern Nepal, close to the Tibetan border. An area of roughly 1710 sq km, through the districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchok, situated in the Central Himalayas, is covered by it. The fourth of the national parks of the country, established in 1976, includes Gosaikund Lake. Its altitude varies greatly from merely 3000 feet to 23770 feet at the summit of Langtang Lirung. Due to this variation, the vegetation also changes from deciduous at the lowest reaches to permanent snow at the crest. Between these two zones, conifers, herbaceous grasslands and barren lands are found. Wildlife here includes the Himalayan black bear, rhesus monkey, red pandas and Himalayan tahr.

Coming Here

The region is a popular destination, where travellers are taken to by many tour operators. Nepal trekking tours are the most popular way for visitors to get to this high-altitude area. Hikers arrive in Kathmandu by air or road, mostly from India and then are taken to their hotels. The first day is always utilised to see the various sites in and around the Nepali capital. After getting their permits to enter the protected area, trekkers are taken to Syabrubesi village, 1462 metres above the sea. From here, people start their hike to the Langtang village, at a rough altitude of 3100 metres, through thick forests. Once here, tourists may travel to the national park or hike deeper into the Himalayas. After spending the night, the troupe resumes their accent, now to the Buddhist monastery in the Kyanjin valley, 3750 metres above.

The next day involves trekking to the summit of the 5033-metre high Tsergo Ri. Looking down from here gives a breathtaking 360-degree view of the entire region including the villages, river and glacier. Then, the group descends back to Kyanjin and spends the night in the monastery. Day 8 gets trekkers to the village of Ghora Tabela at 3050-metre elevation from sea level. The last three days are used to hike back to Kathmandu via Syabrubesi, Sing and Dhunche.
