Established in 1958, this natural reserve is one of the few wildlife parks that is dedicated for conserving a host of rare species of Eastern Himalayas like snow leopards, Tibetan wolf and red panda. This zoo is spread across over 67 acres and situated at a height of 7000 feet approximately. It aims at maintaining ecological balance within Eastern Himalayas by conserving endangered species and spreading awareness among local people about the importance of ecosystem. For the convenience of visitors, there is drinking water facility, car parking, souvenir shop, numerous rain shelters, telephone booths and refreshment centres.
